We are a group of Midwives practicing autonomously under the direction of Professor Caroline Flint who has been a leading Midwife for over 30 years and is a past President of The Royal College of Midwives. Professor Flint is a government advisor, the author of five books for Midwives and has established schemes within the NHS to provide women one to one care with a known Midwife. This is an opportunity to work under the guidance of Caroline Flint and in close partnership with a group of Midwives who recognise that pregnancy, labour, birth and early parenting are significant life events where a woman and her Midwife work together to achieve the best possible outcome. The Birth Centre is based in South West London and we work throughout the London / M25 area. We pride ourselves on our special relationship with women and our excellent statistics produced by providing traditional Midwifery care.

We offer: A truly fulfilling way of practicing autonomous Midwifery Thorough orientation and preceptorship Excellent development, training, personal and professional support Experience with water births, active birth and complimentary therapies Work with a truly likeminded, caring and fun team Regular social events for both the team members and clients Friendly Office staff to complete all administration Caseload Midwifery where you choose from 20-45 women per year One to One antenatal, labour and birth care by 2 or 3 known Midwives Intensive, home based, postnatal care for 6 weeks Attend births in The Birth Centre, at Home or in Hospital Full time and part time positions available 65% out of Hospital births 97% breastfeeding rate at 6 weeks Salary scale starts at £28,000 Salary increase within 6 months 9 weeks paid holiday per year You care for women and we’ll care for you Interested?
