Caroline Flint is the Director of The Birth Center.
She is the past President of the Royal College of Midwives, and has been
a midwife for 25 years. Caroline is the author of five books for midwives
and she has written over 300 published articles. She is regularly called
upon by the media and government to comment on midwifery issues. She is
an Honorary Professor at Thames Valley University.
Caroline found the birth of her first child one of the
most important and liberating experiences of her life - her aim is to
bring to women and their partners the very best experience they can possibly
have during their pregnancy, labour and the first few weeks of their babies'
lives. Caroline is an acknowledged pioneer in 'best practice' care and
has for many years led schemes which have provided continuity of care
for women. Caroline is warm friendly and reassuring and her response during
labour is exactly in tune with the needs of mothers and their partners.
She and her husband live in Central London, as do their four adult children.
Her great loves are classical music and country walks.
